BEAH TRAVIS is a director and producer working across film, television, and advertising. Beah started their career working in film and television in New York City on series such as DISCOVERY’s A Crime to Remember, AMAZON/JIGSAW’s The New Yorker Presents, and AMC’s The Making of the Mob. They are currently the Studio Director for Journeywork Entertainment.
Beah's 2020 short film Way Upstate premiered at the Wisconsin Film Festival and won best cinematography at the Midwest Film Awards. Beah's recent short Ten premiered at the Duluth-Superior Film Festival in 2024. The film won Best Directing at MKE International Short Film Fest and Best Wisconsin Film at the Door Kinetic Arts Festival.
In 2022, Beah launched the Belladonna Film Project, a nonprofit focused on producing regional independent film projects and providing accessible arts experiences in the Midwest. The organization has been organizing screening events and providing production support for a number of Midwest based films. The organization launched the Sheboygan Film Festival in October 2025 and are currently planning for year two. Beah now serves as the Festival Director.
Beah’s feature script Ashby Ct. (formerly titled Belladonna) completed the CIX:Lab, a year-long feature film development lab with the Chicago International Film Festival in 2023. The script participated in IFA/SAG-AFTRA’s At the Table series in 2024 and won Wisconsin’s Own Screenplay Competition in 2025. The film is currently in development.
